Realignment

It’s not necessary to drop the old ‘you’ while seeking the new ‘you’. Take the old and embed it in the new while allowing it to evolve into something new.

Leading up to this festive season 2024, the stressors of life weighed down on my head and heart. It fortunately lead me to have a nervous breakdown. How ironic seeing my biggest focus at Heaven’s Door Beauty and Holistic Wellness, was Holistic Wellness throughout the year of 2024, specifically focusing on Mental Health and Gut Health. I tried making better choices for myself and having positive conversations with clients directed towards Holistic Wellness, which to me means, a healthy soul(mind), body and spirit(heart). In turn resulting in a healthy life.

Needless to say, somewhere along the line I began making everyone else’s well-being a priority while forgetting about my own and lost my way. This nervous breakdown was so necessary. It gave me a chance to take a step back, reflect and take stock of my life, land marking every high and every low as I made it my goal to correct what had been misguided.

In 2025 I will continue making Wellness a focus while graciously continuing with my passion in Beauty. I am currently training up someone new who will assist me with the Beauty aspect of Heaven’s Door while I focus on further equipping myself within Holistic Wellness. I will be starting with an Access Bars training course, which I’ll share more about at a later stage.

During this time I assessed the needs of Heaven’s Door and it’s clientele. I found a great love for each client who has passed through my doors. The name Heaven’s Door was birthed from a prophetic place within me that spoke of Unlocking Heaven’s treasures of purpose within us all. I found that most of my conversations with clients didn’t just include day to day life talk. It included talks of passion, ambitions, goals, fears, faiths, perceptions and understandings of life and it’s obstacles as well as life’s course of highs, lows and inbetweens.

Currently most Spas or Salons only cater to females, but as I journeyed with my female clients, I heard the silent cries from boyfriends, husbands, brothers and fathers. They desperately needed a safe space for themselves too. A space to find a place of rest and to be embraced by an atmosphere that surrounds them with love and acceptance. A place of peace away from the cluttering world we all face. I then opened my doors to male clients (although I never did turn them away). I felt at the time, men too deserve a place they could call their home away from home.

Today, I treat my male and female clients as Kings and Queens. We believe each client should leave feeling more worthy and more accepted as they walk through our doors to face the world yet again. We hope and pray that each treatment invigorates healing, a change of perspective and a new hope for a new day. We all face challenges we don’t speak of. Heaven’s Door was created to form a community of broken/lost/weak people who know their strength comes from no other than God alone.

After my mental breakdown, I considered doing away with male clients, but I just couldn’t get myself to follow through with it. Heaven’s Door is a professional establishment that not only values its female clients, but deeply values it’s teenage and male clients. I have seen and met people from all walks of life through Heaven’s Door and I look forward to continuing those journeys with you all.

Please feel free to book your new year appointments as we will be back in action as of the 3rd January 2025. We look forward to a prosperous New Year as we meet many new hearts and souls and bless them with all the Lord has for them through an open space where companionship is built through conversation and a oneness that creates unity.

Please keep us in your prayers as we continue with what we believe is a blessing from God, Heaven’s Door Beauty and Holistic Wellness.

May God continue to bless you all and may He keep you gently in the palm of His hands as you continue seeking His will for your life and fulfilling it daily whether by chance or intent. Just know, regardless of your relationship with Him, He’s with you.

With much intentional love,
Kayla Evans
